Train accident:Man killed
(Colombo-Lankapuvath)- A man was hit and killed a train this morning (17) at 5.45am on the rail track at Wellawatte ,police said.The train was Colombo bound from Aluthgama,police added.
The victim is yet to be identified.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Wellawatte police.

An 'Overseas Sri Lankans ' scheme on dual citizenship
(Colombo-Lankapuvath) The government has decided to set up a scheme-'Overseas Sri Lankans'- to formalize the grant of dual citizenship to Sri Lankans who have terminated their citizenship.
This was disclosed by Acting Media Media Minister and Cabinet Spokesman,Lakshman Yapa Abeywardene at the weekly cabinet press briefing in Colombo today.
