(Colombo Lankapuvath) Scattered rains are expected in several parts of the island including, North, East, North Central and Uva provinces, the Met Department said.
Thunder showers may develop in other areas of the country during the evening hours.
Meanwhile, strong winds are predicted island wide while the Met Department requests the public to take measures to prevent accidents caused by lightning
