(Colombo-Lankapuvath) A water cut will be is now in effect in Colombo today from 08:00 pm to 08:00 am the next day (02) for a period of 12 hours, said the National Water Supply and Drainage Board.
Thereby, Fort, Pettah, Union Place, Slave Island, Chittampalam A. Gardiner Mw, Kumaran Rathnam Mw, Maley Street, Justice Akbar Mw, Markan Marker Mw, D.R. Wijewardene Mw, and all connecting roadways would be deprived of water due to essential maintenance work and application or new water pumps.
Further, the water cut would also be in effect from Glen Akbar Place Junction on Galle Road Bambalapitiya to Kolpetty Junction and all connecting roads, Duplication Rd, from Bambalapitiya junction to Kolpetty Junction and all connecting roads, added the Water Board.
