(Colombo, Lankapuvath) - The Japanese Cultural Exhibition organized by the Embassy of Japan and the Japanese Language Teacher’s Association of Sri Lanka and will held on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st August 2011 at, Lionel Wendt, Colombo.
The exhibition this year will feature Ikebana floral arrangements, bonsai plants, origami and calligraphy, as well as demonstrations of Ikebana floral art, bonsai planting, origami folding, the art of Japanese calligraphy and Kimono dressing. The exhibition will also feature multimedia presentations on Japan.
The exhibition is designed to display Japan’s culture and lifestyle as well as promote tourism to Japan and thereby to further enhance the friendly relations between the peoples of Japan and Sri Lanka.
Admission to the exhibition and demonstrations are free of charge to the general public on Saturday 20th from 12.00 noon to 6.00 p.m. and on Sunday 21st from 9.00 a.m to 6.00 p.m.
