(Colombo, Lankapuvath) - The verdict given by Bangalore Court sentencing the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa Jayaram who made malicious charges against Sri Lanka is fit and justifiable. Stating this, Minister of Labour and Labour Relations Gamini Lokuge said the Indian judiciary has given a correct verdict.
Speaking to Lankapuvath the National News Agency, Minister Gamini Lokuge stressed that he was glad about the prison sentence given to the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa Jayaram who leveled vicious and unreasonable charges against Sri Lanka.
Pointing out that Sri Lanka is a Buddhist country, Minister Gamini Lokuge said that Jayalalithaa Jayaram, who tried to push Sri Lanka into a difficult position, has now received punishment as the Buddhist’s belief of ‘Ditta Dhamma Vedaniya Karma’ or the theory that the sinners will ultimately get punishment.
